Ordering, activation, and trying MT5 Simulator before you commit.
How long does it take to get the software after payment?
You will receive an order confirmation email with an activation link within 10 to 15 minutes of payment. If you do not see it, check your spam or junk folder and mark it as not spam so future emails reach your inbox.
How do I get my activation code?
Open your order confirmation email and click Activate My License.
Can I try the software for free?
Yes. Discipline Mode lets you take up to 5 trades for free. Original Mode allows unlimited trades once activated. Download the free version from the Software page.

How do I install the software?

The download link is not working. Where can I download the software from?
Download it directly from the Software page.
I cannot see the Start button.
Change your Windows display scale to 100%. Go to Windows Settings, Display, Scale, and select 100% from the dropdown.
I am getting an error.
Check the following:
Download the software from the Software page to make sure you have the correct files.
Confirm every file was installed correctly. Follow the installation guide on the User Guides page.
Make sure you downloaded MetaTrader 5 from your broker's website, not a generic version.
Confirm the MT5 account number you are logged into matches the account number linked to your license. Both numbers must match exactly, for example if your broker shows account number 1348014 but your license was issued for 12356, it will not work.
I am facing a download error or other issue.
Make sure your data folder has the most current MT5 Simulator files.
Delete the old files from your Advisors and Files folders.
Download the latest version from the Software page and reinstall.
Refer to the User Guides page for full steps.
If the issue continues, send us a short screen recording showing the error and the file locations in your data folder, we will help you sort it out.
I am unable to open the MT5 Simulator file on my computer.
The file is designed to run inside MetaTrader 5, it will not open on its own. Follow the installation guide on the User Guides page for the full setup process.

Does it work on MT5?
Yes.
Does it work on MT4?
No. MT5 Simulator only works on MetaTrader 5.
Does it work on Windows or Mac?
It is built for Windows. Some users report success running it through Parallels or VMware Fusion on Mac, but this is not officially guaranteed.
Does it work on smartphone, desktop, or laptop?
MT5 Simulator is a focused practice tool meant for a dedicated practice session, so it only runs on Windows desktops and laptops, not smartphones.
Which brokers does it work with?
It works with any broker offering MetaTrader 5, unless your specific broker restricts external applications or automated trading.
Does it work on demo or live accounts?
You can test it on a demo account. For the most accurate experience, the simulator is built on real historical market data, not demo data, so results reflect real conditions either way.
Can I use it to test trading robots, scripts, or as an EA tester?
No. MT5 Simulator is not designed for backtesting EAs, robots, or scripts.
Licensing & Devices
How licenses map to trading accounts, brokers, and machines.
What does 2 licenses mean?
Two licenses let you activate MT5 Simulator on two different MT5 trading accounts. If both accounts are with the same broker, you only need to install it once. If they are with different brokers, each one needs its own installation.
Can I use MT5 Simulator on two different devices?
Yes, as long as you are logged into the MT5 trading account you activated on each device.
